Edmund Cohen was born in The Bronx, New York on September 18,
1940. He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the City College of New
York, did his graduate work at Columbia University, and legal
studies at American University. He is a member of the bar in the
Commonwealth of Virginia and the District of Columbia. He joined
the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) in the late 1960s, served
in positions of increasing responsibility, and advanced to
senior executive rank.
Brother Cohen was made a Master
Mason in Henry Lodge No. 57 on December 7, 1976. He is a Life
Member in Perpetuity and served as its Worshipful Master in 1982
and as Trustee since 1984.
He is married to the former
Gwendolyn May. They have two daughters, Alyssa and Suzanne.
Brother Cohen is a member of Temple Rodef Shalom.
