Committee on MASONIC EDUCATION AND PUBLICATIONS

 

The purpose of this Committee is to increase the knowledge of Masonic history, philosophy and symbolism, and enhance the leadership abilities of the members of the Grand Lodge, A. F. & A.M., of Virginia.   The duties of the Committee is to conduct conferences, Reid J. Simmons School, seminars, and forums of Masonic education as it may deem appropriate or as the Grand Master may order. It shall review and approve all publications of the Grand Lodge concerning Masonic education.

 

Membership: The members of this Committee shall be appointed from each of the general geographical divisions of the state and, in addition, the Chairman shall be the Grand Provost, who shall not represent any division. Such other members may be appointed to meet the special needs of the Masonic Education program. The Grand Master, Deputy Grand Master, Grand Wardens, Grand Treasurer, Grand Secretary and the Grand Deacons shall be ex-officio, members of the Committee with voice and vote.

 

2008 Conference and Educational Opportunities:


 

2008 Masonic Education Seminars -  3 Masonic Living Legends will speak at the Scottish Rite Centers in Richmond, Alexandria, and Roanoke.  S. Brent Morris, W. Kirk MacNulty, and Mark A. Tabbert will be speaking on the Masonic education.  These men have many publications and have appeared on the History Channel in regards to Freemasonry.

 

2008 Reid J. Simmons Academy on Masonic Leadership will be held on July 27th to 30th.  Please complete the Registration Form and mail it RW Ed Conner.

2008 Masonic Leadership and Correspondence Courses - The Committee on Masonic Education and Publications proudly presents this program on self improvement to all Master Masons within the Grand Jurisdiction of Virginia.
