LCS was founded in 1995 by Professor
Larry L. Adams II,
it's mission is to provide affordable technology solutions to
local businesses and government agencies throughout the
Tri-State area.

Professor Adams has gained a
reputation as one of the nation's foremost expert
in the fields of education and technology, with expertise in
technology training that includes networking, information
security, databases, and web development. Mr. Adams
has served as CEO of Local Computer
Solutions since 1995; a technology consulting and
training firm specializing in database design, networks, web
development, and information and network security for
businesses and government agencies. Professor Adams
shares his duties between consulting and teaching for the
University of Maryland University College Department of
Computer and Information Science. Professor Adams has
been recommended by his students every year since teaching
at Maryland for the
Stanley J. Drazek Teaching Excellence.
He also served has a web developer and designer for
the
Commonwealth Policy Institute Network,
Masonic Lodges,
Native
American Television, and
Shenandoah
Valley Young Marines, to only mention a few.
While consulting for these organization Professor Adams has
lent his expertise in information security for e-commerce
site, developed database and network infrastructure for many
other organizations.
Professor Adams has served seven years as a full time
Professor with the Department of Computer and Information
Sciences at Shepherd University where he has pioneered a
Networking and Data Communication concentration for the
undergraduate program. In addition, he has built four state-of-the-art computer and networking
research labs that are being used to test and teach
database, information security, web programming, and
networking.
Professor Adams has assisted in placing more than 1,000 students in federal agencies and
companies throughout the
nation. His success is directly attributable to his
dedication to education and in helping his students achieve
their academic and professional goals. Corporations and
federal government agencies wherein the “Adams Alumni Team”
resides include the Northrop Grumman Corporation; the
National Security Agency; the U.S. Coast Guard; the Veterans
Administration’s Office of Medical Cyber Security; the
Central Intelligence Agency; IBM Corporation; and the
Federal Emergency Management Assistance agency, to name a few.
Professor Adams military service included
serving with the U.S. Army’s crack 29th Light Infantry
Division, where he served as a military instructor, a recon
scout, a "tow-gunner", and recon sniper. He received the
Department of the Army Achievement Medal, Army Reserve
Achievement Medal, and Virginia Service Medal for his duty
in the military.
In 1991, he earned a Bachelor of Science
degree in Political Science and Economics from Shepherd
College. He continued his education by obtaining a
Masters Degree in Business Administration (1995)
and a second Masters in Computers (2001). Professor
Adams is now completing his Doctorate degree in
Education (EDD) with concentrations in Administrative
Leadership and Instructional Technology from Shenandoah
University. Professor Adams will receive his Doctorate
Degree in Education in Spring of 2008. He is also pursuing a third Masters in Information
Technology and Management from Harvard University.
